Written by Paul Grant

The head of legal services at the Department of Trade has been appointed to the Financial Reporting Council.

Anthony Inglese moves into the role of FRC member as a replacement for Stephen Haddrill, who steps down following his departure from the DTI as director general of fair markets.

Inglese has worked for the DTI since 2002, heading up one of the largest government legal offices with responsibilities for the Insolvency Service and the Patent Office. Prior to this he was deputy head of the Treasury Solicitor's Department.
