IoD welcomes new director general

Miles Templeman this week became the new director general at the Institute of Directors, replacing George Cox who stepped down in August.

Setting out his agenda, Templeman said: 'I will seek to establish the IoD not only as the centre of excellence for good corporate governance in the UK, but also to broaden our international perspective and be seen as the number one body for director development internationally.'

Templeman offers the institute and its 55,000 members 30 years experience in business. He will be based at the IoD's central London headquarters.
