Sir Sidney Kentridge, QC, of Brick Court Chambers, will present an opinion to the Home Office to put across the Society's arguments on whether accountants should be given powers of privilege, reported The Lawyer.
It mirrors a move by the ICAEW, which instructed a colleague of Kentridge's earlier this year, and used it to try and persuade the Home Office to extend legal privilege to accountants.
