EDS fights back against BSkyB lawsuit

IT services provider EDS will 'counter-sue' against BSkyB's accusations that the company committed 'deceit, negligent misrepresentation and breach of contract' during EDS's short-lived period as IT supplier for BSkyB's customer contact centres in Dunfermline and Livingston.

Written by Kevin Reed

An EDS spokesman said the company will sue BSkyB for 'several millions of pounds' of unpaid bills, relating to the 16-month period between November 2000 and March 2002 that EDS supplied IT services to BSkyB's customer contact centres.

He also suggested that the lawsuit announced against EDS yesterday, has been raised to 'hide' BSkyB's own 'business failings'.
