The Inland Revenue has begun to pay out compensation to families that suffered delays in receiving their Child Tax Credit following the chaotic introduction of the new system.

Money is now trickling through for the thousands of families that could be due compensation under the Revenue's Code of Practice. The taxman failed to process many claims in time for the launch of the Child Tax Credit in April.
However the process could still take some time, according to website, This is Money, as each family must write to the Revenue outlining the problems they experienced in receiving the credit.
