Composite rate for gift aid

HMRC will love it as it will save cost of processing claims by HR taxpayers but loss of HR relief will encourage me to reduce giving by the lost tax relief. Thus a net gift of 80 will fall to a net gift of 60, a reduction of 25%. Charities would be better spending their time encouraging donors to claim the HR relief.
