KPMG retains audit of AIM-listed Sagentia following formal review
KPMG has successfully retained the audit of UK technology consultancy Sagentia following a formal review.
The AIM-listed R&D business said its audit committee undertook a formal review of the group’s auditors after having spent eight years vetting the company’s accounts.
“With the current audit partner required to rotate this year, the board considered that this was an appropriate time for a formal review,” the company said.
The reappointment of KPMG will be subject to shareholder approval at the 2016 Annual General Meeting.
KPMG is the UK’s leading auditor in terms of overall stock market client numbers with 404 accounts, according to the latest research from Adviser Rankings.
The firm has scooped some major audits in recent weeks, including John Lewis from PwC, and British American Tobacco – also from PwC. It also won N Brown Group from Deloitte.
However, it has not had it all its own way. The firm lost Unite Group to Deloitte.
