Victoria Venning leaves Deloitte for EY
VICTORIA VENNING has joined EY’s north-west practice.
Venning, who has more than 15 years’ experience in advising PLCs and large businesses, including PE-backed foreign-owned groups. She has also worked across sectors, including manufacturing, housebuilding, retail and food & drink.
Venning joins from Deloitte in the Midlands, where she worked in audit and as head of talent for its Nottingham office.
“Victoria’s experience advising large UK-based and global groups, her ability to build strong client relationships and her proven leadership skills will be vital in supporting both our clients and our growth ambitions,” said Colin Brown, partner and assurance leader for the north of England and Scotland at EY.
EY’s north-west practice holds 480 staff and has seen success with the Co-op Bank audit win, and launched a forensic technology hub in Manchester.
Venning said: “We are in a period of significant change for the audit industry, so it is an exciting time to be joining EY, which has a wealth of blue chip north-west clients, a talented team, a clear focus on developing its assurance business in the region and significant momentum following a strong financial performance during FY14.”
