BOWLEVEN has promoted its deputy finance director Kerry Crawford to succeed outgoing FD John Brown.
Crawford joined the mining business in January 2008 as deputy FD with the added responsibility of investor relations.
She was previously at Cairn Energy for ten years joining as senior finance manager and was latterly its deputy finance director and head of investor relations. She qualified with an ICAS certification at EY.
She succeeds Brown who has been with Bowleven since 2004. Before that he was group FD at Canadian gold mining company Thistle Mining and has held senior finance positions at Paladin Resources and British Linen Advisers.
He leaves to join an offshore energy services company and will relocate to the UAE.
Ronnie Hanna, chairman of Bowleven, said: “Bowleven is very fortunate to be able to promote a high quality individual from within its team as its future finance director. Kerry has been a key member of the senior management team for many years and is a well-known and respected figure, both in the city and the oil industry at large.
“John has been an integral member of the Bowleven team and I wish him all the success in his future new role.”
