LISTED PROPERTY DEVELOPER Quintain has promoted Richard Stearn to finance director.
Stearn, who joined as deputy FD in January, takes over from the recently promoted Rebecca Worthington.
Stearn spent ten years at Berkeley Group where he was group financial controller and company secretary. He previously spent 12 years at PwC.
Worthington, a previous interviewee of both Accountancy Age and more recently our sister publication Financial Director, spent 11 years in her former role prior to being promoted to deputy chief executive.
“Over the next 12 months, his focus will be on continuing to drive down costs, de-gear the business, and secure refinancings to further strengthen the balance sheet and increase financial flexibility,” said William Rucker, chairman of Quintain.
“Finally, I would like to thank Rebecca Worthington, our deputy chief executive, for all her incredible hard work in this role, which has enabled us to move forward from a position of increasing financial strength.”
Quintain’s share price was down 0.25p to 49.5p in this morning’s trading.
