Mothercare makes Lavelle interim CFO
Dominic Lavelle joins from Blacks Leisure Lroup
TURNAROUND SPECIALIST Dominic Lavelle has been made interim CFO of babywear retailer Mothercare.
Lavelle, who joins from outdoor clothing retailer Blacks Leisure Group, will come in for the outgoing Neil Harrington.
Lavelle has also had spells as chief restructuring officer at education equipment suppliers Findel and property business Gladedale and has held finance directorships at property business Erinaceous Group, construction firm McAlpine, clothing retailer Oasis Stores and furniture retailer Laura Ashley.
He qualified as an accountant with the ICAEW in 1989.
Simon Calver, CEO of Mothercare, said Lavelle’s track record will stand him in good stead.
He said: “Dominic’s experience as the finance director of public companies in turnaround situations will be a real asset to Mothercare at this early and critical stage of the transformation and growth plan.”
