Andrew Thomas becomes chairman of the Playtech audit committee on his appointment
THE FOUNDING partner of the accountancy firm Moors Andrew Thomas & Co has joined the board of Playtech as a non-executive director, the online gambling specialist announced.
Andrew Thomas, the former chairman of public house and hotel company The Greenalls Group until 2000, will become chairman of the Playtech audit committee on his appointment.
Thomas is a member of the ICAEW and a member of the Institute of Taxation. He is currently chairman of Randalls, a Jersey-based public house business, and of The Greenalls Group Pension Trustees. He previously served as a non-executive director of JJB Sports and of the Restaurant Group.
Last week, Playtech confirmed its intention to delist its shares from London’s AIM market and move to the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange’s Official List.
Playtech shares were up 3.25p to 338.25p in morning trading.
