The administrators closed five stores and made 60 people redundant on appointment. Pumpkin Patch had 36 stores and employed about 400 staff with its parent company and head office based in New Zealand.
Butters said: "Pumpkin Patch has suffered as a result of the unprecedented and prolonged downturn being experienced in the UK retail sector. We will continue to trade the business while we explore all strategic options.
The online and non-UK business is not in administration.
