FORMER DELOITTE AUDITOR Paul Sheppard has taken the vice-chairman role at Monmouthshire Building Society.
A chartered accountant, he has worked on audit regulation for the Financial Reporting Council, and joined the Monmouthshire board in 2005.

Sheppard said: "As vice-chairman, I will continue to put the interests of our members at the forefront of all our business activity. As a mutual organisation, it is vital we continue to deliver competitive products and a first rate service for customers, whilst maintaining prudent management to allow the Society to continue to flourish."
Building society assets rose to a record £724m in 2010/11, up from £692m the previous year, with growth standing at 7.2%.
