Saffery Champness poaches GT senior manager

SAFFERY CHAMPNESS has appointed a senior manager from Grant Thornton to its tax department.

Robert Langston, who spent 13 years at Grant Thornton, specialises in corporate and international tax. A statement from Saffery Champness said the appointment "reinforces [its] commitment to the international business community".

Langston said: "I'm very happy to be joining the team at Saffery Champness. The firm's reputation is unmatched and it's great to be working with a team that is as ambitious, committed and driven as I am to giving high-quality tax advice."

Saffery Champness managing partner Jonathan Fox welcomed the appointment. "Robert joining Saffery Champness is tremendous," he said. "He has the drive and the track record to make a marvellous contribution to this talented team and I'm sure we will see great things from him in the months and years ahead. His joining the firm illustrates our commitment to bringing in the brightest and best talent to serve our clients."
