Chris Tidswell new CIPFA Wales head

CIPFA WALES' new head is Chris Tidswell, who joined the public finance institute in December 2010.

Previously director at Charles Nicholas Consulting, Tidswell has overseen the modernisation of the Wales branch, which now has a codified constitution, AGM and more formalised support structures.

Steven O'Donoghue, head of assembly resources at the Welsh Assembly and CIPFA Cymru-Wales president, said: "I am delighted that CIPFA has appointed Chris to this key role supporting public services in Wales.

"[We] will continue to work closely with Chris in ensuring CIPFA delivers for its members in Wales and in providing advice and support to public services to help steer a course through these troubled times."
