A NUMBER of Top 50 UK firms could operate under a single brand as part of proposals currently under discussion, Accountancy Age understands.
The Leading Edge Alliance, which includes Accountancy Age Top 50 firms HW Fisher, Johnston Carmichael, Francis Clark and Streets Accounting as well as CLB Coopers, discussed the proposals at the Leading Edge Alliance Global Conference in New Orleans last week..

Details of the new structure are sketchy, although it could involve the five firms operating under a single brand, it is understood.
Michael Davis, managing partner at HW Fisher and chairman of the Leading Edge Alliance, said further discussions were taking place and were "far too embryonic to make any kind of statement".
The four other firms were unavailable for comment.
