Ex-E&Y managing partner takes non-exec role

FORMER ERNST & YOUNG Leeds managing partner Philip Hilling has taken a non-executive director role at engineering support business Redhall.

Hilling, who becomes chairman of the audit committee at Redhall, joined E&Y in 1984 and worked in its London, Toronto, Southampton and Leeds offices. He left the firm in 2010 as managing partner of its Yorkshire offices, a position he obtained in 1995.

Currently Hilling is a self-employed director working as a business and executive coach, he also had a stint as director of national drug and alcohol abuse charity Compass.

David Jackson, chairman and CEO Redhall, said: "I am delighted to welcome Phillip to the board and I am sure his wealth of experience will stand us in good stead."
