RSM Tenon boosts London tax team

TOP 10 FIRM RSM Tenon has bolstered its London tax team with the hiring of Steve Besford and Sandy Cochrane.

Besford joins the firms tax investigation group having previously worked in a similar role at BDO. Prior to that he spent 15 years at HM Revenue & Customs and has worked on tax fraud investigations and offshore disclosure cases.

Cochrane will become head of VAT in London and previously spent seven and a half years at Grant Thornton as a senior manager in VAT.

Jay Purang, head of tax for London at RSM Tenon, said: "The addition of Sandy and Steve to our tax team in London only serves to recognise the demand for high-level tax advisory serves within our growing area of business.

"Their wealth of experience will help us to further build on the success of our tax offering in London, and undoubtedly be an asset to existing and future clients."
