Ex-Rank FD takes Spirit Pub role

PADDY GALLAGHER takes a finance director role at managed pub business Spirit Pub.

Gallagher (pictured) was most recently group FD of listed gambling business Rank Group, where he stepped down alongside chief executive Ian Burke in June this year.

Prior to joining Rank, Gallagher was chief financial officer at digital services provider Quadriga Worldwide, FD at Dell for its EMEA regions and director of finance and operations at Wang International, which repairs laboratory equipment.

Ian Dyson, CEO Spirit Pub, said: "I am delighted to announce Paddy's appointment. He brings with him a wealth of financial experience in high profile roles and his proven track record, both in the hospitality sector and other industries will further strengthen the Spirit board at this exciting time in the company's development."

He takes up his role on 7 November.
