Finance experts join easyJet's board

COMPASS GROUP FD Andy Martin and ex-KPMG Europe CFO Adele Anderson have joined easyJet's board as non-executive directors.

Martin is a former partner with Arthur Andersen and has held senior financial roles at Forte and Granada. He also served as group FD at First Choice Holidays.

Adele Anderson was the youngest member of KPMG's board in 2000, having been appointed partner in 1997, then CFO in 2001. She headed KPMG Europe's financial analysis, risk and control team then served as its European CFO from 2009, stepping down in July.

Anderson was also placed in Accountancy Age's Financial Power List in 2002.

Sir Mike Rake, easyJet chairman and former KPMG International chairman, welcomed their appointments.

"I am very pleased to welcome Andy Martin and Adele Anderson to the board. Their experience will strengthen the board's capabilities in the area of risk and financial management," said Sir Mike.
