THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER of KPMG Europe has left the firm, Accountancy Age can reveal.
Adele Anderson, who became the first female finance partner at a Big Four firm in 2001, informed the firm several months ago, KPMG confirmed. She joined the firm in 1987.

She has been replaced by Paul Long, a tax partner. He has been with the firm since 1982 and became a partner in 1997 in tax, having started in audit. He became COO in 2009.
Anderson was named in the top 50 Accountancy Age power list in 2002, and in the 50 most powerful women by Management Today in the same year.
