MARK JOHNSON has taken on the role of finance director at alternative energy business PowerHouse Energy.

He trained and qualified in KPMG's London office and has 25 years experience working for both public and private companies. He has held senior finance roles at Kingfield Health, James Hull and Simon Carves.

Johnson succeeds Julian Moore who was previously interim FD at PowerHouse Energy and leaves to pursue other business interests in South Africa.

Ross Lyndon-James, chairman of PowerHouse Energy, said: "I would like to thank Julian for his contribution to the company and in particular during the recent reverse takeover. The board wishes him well in his future ventures in South Africa.

"I would also like to welcome Mark to the board. His depth of experience will be of great benefit to the company now that we are entering a rapid growth stage."
