THE OPEN Championship at Sandwich was not the only big golf tournament taking place last week. The Accountancy Age and Financial Director Golf Challenge, sponsored by Zurich, was also brewing up a storm of competition last Thursday at Porters Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire.
A full day of golf and networking followed by a prize-giving dinner was enjoyed by teams from across the profession, including Mark Lee from the Tax Advice Network, who commented: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and my guests all enjoyed themselves too."
A team from Expense Reduction Analysts came out on top. Zurich Global's head of commercial professional indemnity, Steve Watson, who presented the prizes to the winners, said: "We are proud to be sponsoring the Accountancy Age and Financial Director Golf Challenge 2011: congratulations to all our prize winners!"
Plans are already underway for next year's event.
