LEEDS BUILDING Society finance director David Pickersgill has decided to retire.
Pickersgill, who is also deputy chief executive, has worked at the company since 1987 and was elected to the board in 1995.

The FD had been expected to replace outgoing chief executive Ian Ward but has recently been on sick leave.
In a statement, Ward praised the "enormous skills, experience and commitment" of Pickersgill.
Pickersgill is a chartered accountant who has spent his career in accountancy firms and building societies.
