STEVE ALMOND, a long serving managing director at Deloitte, is set to be revealed as international chairman of the firm.
The appointment wll be announced today, according to reports. Almond replaces John Connolly who is retiring as both UK chief executive and international chairman.

David Sproul, another member of the firm's UK executive group, has already been announced as the new CEO.
Yesterday, Almond spoke to the Financial Times, saying the firm had to speak with a "global voice" to regulators. Both the European Commission and the UK are looking at reforms to audit and the audit market.
Almond is an auditor who has had spells seconded to the Bank of England.
