POLO RESOURCES' new finance director is Ian Michael Burns, a fellow of both ICAEW and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

A specialist in corporate governance, risk management, accounting and administration, he is also managing director of investment company Regent Mercantile Holdings and non-executive director of Phaunos Timber Fund.

Executive co-chairman and managing director Neil L Herbert said: "We are pleased to be strengthening our board with the appointment of Ian Burns. His years of experience in the finance sector will be of significant value to the company as we continue to build on our existing success."
