DELOITTE UK chief executive John Connolly is to join AMEC, the international engineering company, as its new chairman.
Connolly (pictured) is set to retire from Deloitte on 31 May, where he is also global chairman of Deloitte Touche Tohamatsu. He will join the AMEC board on 1 June 2011.

John Connolly said: "I am delighted to be joining the board of AMEC at such an exciting point in its development. I look forward to guiding the team in the successful delivery of the Vision 2015 growth strategy."
Connolly will take over as AMEC chairman from Jock Green-Armytage.
He will be succeeded at Deloitte and Deloitte Touche Tohamatsu by David Sproul, global managing partner for tax.
