CIMA council member faces disciplinary hearing

A CIMA council member is scheduled to face an institute disciplinary hearing today.

Margaret May, a CIMA council member since 1994, is scheduled to appear before CIMA's disciplinary committee, though the charge will not been revealed until the hearing this morning.

May serves on a number of boards. She was appointed to the Valuation Tribunal Service on 1 April 2010. She is a director, board member and audit committee member at the Housing Ombudsman Service.

Other roles include serving as a member of the audit committee for the Standards Board for England and Animal Health; a lay member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a board member of the Guinness northern Counties Housing Association.

Hope this scandal won’t affect the AICPA’s council decision on joint venture deal with CIMA.
