Ex-England manager calls in Ian Defty to liquidate company of former financial advisors
FORMER ENGLAND MANAGER Sven-Goran Erikkson has called in an insolvency professional from Kingston Smith to liquidate his former financial advisors.
Ian Defty (pictured) of Kingston Smith & Partners has been appointed liquidator of Pier 24.
The Manchester City manager brought a winding-up petition against the business for personal debts of £887,815.
Defty said: “The size of the debt means that our investigation into who was involved in the company and why it failed will be centred on how such a large petition debt arose in the first place.
“Our understanding is that the company had overseas interests, so our focus will be widespread.”
Erikkson was previously a shareholder in Pier 24.
