Shay Lettice (L) and Laurence Weeks

PEM insolvency practitioner Shay Lettice has been appointed the eastern regional chairman of R3.

Lettice, who joined PEM in 1995, takes over the role from Taylor Vinters' Laurence Weeks on 11 April.

"Practitioners spend around a quarter of their time on informal business rescue procedures such as restructuring. However, in order for informal procedures such as this to be a viable option, professional advice should be sought as soon as possible. This is a key message which is especially important in the current climate - and one that I want to communicate to all local businesses," said Lettice.
