FORMER DELOITTE director Robert Bridson has joined PwC as a partner in its financial services tax business.

Bridson will lead the department and develop the auditor's FS tax consulting capacity. His focus is on helping financial institutions gauge the impact of foreign account tax compliance rules and operational levies.

At Deloitte he specialised in international taxes, and has previously worked as director of finance at insurer FM Global.

Robert Mellor, PwC's UK financial services tax markets leader, welcomed Bridson's "operational tax expertise and great relationships with the US Treasury and Internal Revenue Service".
