Claydon leaves HSBC for Orteq CFO role

SPORTS INJURY medical devices business Orteq has appointed Shaun Claydon as CFO and a board director.

Claydon joins from HSBC Investment Banking, having previously served at BDO Stoy Hayward and PwC.

He began his career as a youth team player at Leeds United, but his career was cut short by injury.

Dianne Blanco, chief executive officer of Orteq, said: "Shaun brings first rate business skills and acumen to this period of high growth at Orteq. His experience is invaluable as we continue to commercialise worldwide our first product Actifit, a biocompatible scaffold for the repair of otherwise irreparable meniscal tears."
