The Iris brand will now have two separate operating businesses; Iris Accountancy Solutions, and Iris Software Group.
CFO Roberts takes on the CEO role on an interim basis at Iris Software, however, he will work as CFO on both entities.
Phill Robinson, previously MD of the accountancy division, is now CEO of Iris Accountancy Solutions.
Although both entities will operate independently from each other, they will both trade under the holding company Iris Software Group Ltd.
Robinson said: "I am delighted to have been asked by the Board to lead IRIS Accountancy Solutions through its next phase of development and growth."
He added although the business has been successful in the last ten years under Leuw's leadership, the separation into two entities will give the accountancy group more market focus.
