HMV bags ITV’s Wolffe for its new FD
David Wolffe joins music retailer HMV from ITV Studios on 10 Jan
MUSIC RETAILER HMV has appointed ITV’s David Wolffe as its new group finance director.
Wolffe, who has been finance director of ITV studios since 2008, joins on 10 January. Before that, he worked as chief financial officer at AOL Europe and was finance director of magazines and consumer publishing at BBC Worldwide.
The CIMA-qualified accountant had also acted as interim managing director for ITV Global Entertainment.
HMV chief executive Simon Fox highlighted Wolffe’s “financial background combined with a broader strategic expertise of changing media markets” as being key to his appointment.
