Recruiter Robert Half has flagged up its five "hottest" accounting jobs in 2010.

Financial accountants; financial planning & analysis manager; assistant accountant; cost accountant of financial analyst; and compliance manager or risk manager come up as the best roles for accountants over the next year.

For example, cost accountants or financial analysts are in demand for their ability to manage budgets and assess the viability and sustainability of a business.

“As we move into a recovery period the need for expert accounting and finance professionals to help companies navigate through this economic climate is critical," said Clive Davis, director Robert Half UK.

Hot jobs?!

To be honest I think the recruiters are trying to drum up business. There is always a need for quality candidates. Doesn't matter if they are blue accountant or yellow accountant- job titles don't mean too much.

I would rather the recruiters were more open, honest and up front with BOTH the employer AND candidate. Perhaps we should have a league table of the best recruiters?

Recruiters

A point well made, some honesty from recruiters wouldn't go amiss. I've been recruitung for years and have met 2 decent recruiters.
