Portsmouth's administrator has been cleared to push on with his efforts to sell the club.

UHY Hacker Young's Andrew Andronikou provided the taxman with more details of the club's financial situation, which persuaded HM Revenue & Customs to drop its challenge to the administration appointment, reported the BBC.

Andronikou also suggested that he would challenge the automatic nine-point deduction the Premier League would make against an insolvent club.
