Vodafone has recruited Michael Combes, the former finance director at France Telecom, as its head of European operations.
Combes joins from TDF Group, the telecoms and radio providers in France, where he has been chief executive. At France Telecom which he joined in 1986, he worked his way up to become chief financial officer in 2003 but left the company in 2006 after refusing to take another role within the company.
Combes is expected to join Vodafone in early October, and is to oversee all European markets as well as head global marketing, technology and business services it was reported in Bloomberg.com
