Luxury chocolate group Thorntons has appointed Mark Robson as FD.
Robson, who joins from Somerfield, is expected to take on the role no later than the end of November when he replaces John Wall.
Robson has extensive experience in retail and consumer goods, having held senior finance roles at pub and bar chain SFI Holdings, Claire's Accessories and Alldays.
Robson's role at Somerfield will be absorbed by the Co-operative Group's FD of food Steve Humes. The Co-op acquired Somerfield in a £1.5bn deal in March.
Wall, who has served at Thorntons for five years, will stay on for as long as required to ensure a smooth transition.
Robson began his career at BDO Stoy Hayward.
