UK audit chief wins top role with KPMG Europe

KPMG’s current head of audit in the UK is to be made chief operating officer for KPMG Europe.

Richard Bennison succeeds Colin Cook who is retiring from the firm.

KPMG Europe was formed after the merger of the firm in the UK with the German network member in 2007. The Swiss and Spanish firms joined in last year. Partners in the Dutch and Belgian firms have recently approved plans to merge.
