Devro, a manufacturer of collagen for the food industry, has appointed Peter Williams as finance director.
John Neilson, the current FD, is retiring in May.
Williams, 55, is currently CFO of Cermaq, the Oslo-listed industrial aquaculture feed manufacturer and salmon farming company.
Williams has worked in finance at Pringle of Scotland, where he was finance director, and at Courtaulds Textiles. He qualified as a chartered accountant while working at Coopers & Lybrand in Edinburgh and has a degree in economics from Aberdeen University. He is also a fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Pat Barrett, chairman of Devro, said: 'Peter Williams brings to Devro a wealth of directly relevant experience, built upon a career in financial management within the international process industry and in particular over the last ten years at Cermaq. Peter has a track record of achievement throughout his professional life, including in publicly quoted companies, and we firmly believe his skill set will complement those of the senior management team.'
