Trader Media, which publishes magazines like Auto Trader and Bike Trader, said Miller would take on his post with immediate effect and will report to Trader Media Group's chief financial officer, Brian Muirhead.

He will be responsible for further developing the group's internal and external business reporting and management information systems, audit, tax, treasury and company secretarial services.

Miller's previous positions have included that of finance director at PepsiCo Group's Frito Lay Europe and Walkers Crisps operations as well as posts at Bass and Procter & Gamble.

He trained at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Edinburgh.

Graham Luff, CEO of Trader Media Group, said the appointment of Miller demonstrated the company's 'continuing commitment to strengthening the Trader Media Group management team'.
