ACCA has expelled a trainee accountant from its student register and ordered him to pay costs of £2,546 after he falsely claimed he had completed the association's professional exams.
Darren John Upton of Prestbury Avenue, Cramlingtin in Northumberland was found to have told his employers that he had completed the ACCA’s professional examinations when he had not, submitted a false document purportedly from the ACCA and claimed to be an associate member when he was just a student.
Upton admitted all the charges during a disciplinary hearing on 15 November.
