Former newsreader Moira Stuart showed her best tax advocate qualities to address changes for those needing to submit a tax filing. In the advert, a man asks a female colleague out for a drink. Stuart appears before she can answer, saying: ‘ Today Steve Buckley, 34, from Burton Latimer, asked Jenny Palmer out for a date.’ She then goes on to outline the dates for the new tax deadlines.

Commenting on her reaction in being asked to assume the lead in the campaign, Stuart said she was shocked to be deemed a suitable candidate.

‘I was really surprised and a bit apprehensive, little worried and then I thought, yeah, go for it,’ she said. Stuart said she was confident the actors would successfully portray the new deadline message.
