The investigation covers Deloitte's audit of casino group Capital Corporation in the mid-nineties, and respected barrister, Michael Beloff, has been instructed by the JDS.
Deloitte said it had obtained the injunction to uphold its rights under the JDS rules.
Accountancy Age editor, Damian Wild, said: 'We are taking this action because we believe there are important issues at stake.'
The JDS declined to comment.
