AccountancyAge.com named best B2B website in the world

by AccountancyAge.com

11 Jul 2008

AccountancyAge.com was named the best business to business website in the world at an international publishing awards this week.

The website won Gold in the Best b2b Website category at the TABPI Awards, run by Trade, Association and Business Publications International.

Accountancy Age beat Computerworld, one the world’s leading technology industry websites, and Modern Healthcare, which won Silver and Bronze awards respectively.

The Awards attracted more than 700 entries this year and the judges praised Accountancy Age for regular updates, ‘strong reporting’ and extensive sourcing of content.

They were also impressed by our multiple bloggers, salary checker, ‘unique’ game segment and ‘logical layout with good use of most read and most commented’.

Other winners in the awards included Fortune magazine, the New York Stock Exchange magazine, NYSE, and Legal Business.

Accountancy Age, which won Bronze in the website category last year, was also placed eighth in the Best Single Issue category this year. It is the fifth year the editorial and design awards has run.

Well done for voting Damian....

....for your own website. It says something when one of the judges was the editor of Accountancy Age!

Fantastic, I'm sure you truly deserved this award.

Coincidence?

The judging panel for this award makes for some interesting reading:

Is the Damian Wild on the TABPI panel the same Damian Wild that is editor of Accountancy Age? Anyone?

Hold your horses

I was a judge for these awards but I did, of course, play no part in judging the website award. For the record I was a judge in the News Coverage, Online Feature and Department categories. Accountancy Age or any other title I am involved with did not enter those categories. I hope that clarifies the position. I should also say if anyone does ask me which B2B site is my favourite, I do say Accountancy Age.
