Audit Commission and ICAEW launch seperate e-learning tools: aimed at public sector managers and accountants respectively
The
Audit
Commission and ICAEW have launched seperate e-learning programmes
aimed at improving financial management in the public sector.
The commission’s programme is aimed at managers to help them improve the core
finance skills. The free programme contains ten modules at foundation level
across the key areas of financial management, such as pplanning and control and
budget management.
The
ICAEW has built online lectures around international fiancial
reporting rules being implemented within the public sector.
“We have worked in partnership with BPP Professional Education to provide
public sector organisations with the tools that they need today, in order to be
prepared for full IFRS implementation in the sector,” said Gavin Aspden, ICAEW
head of innovation and technical development.
