Ken Lever to leave Tomkins

Ken Lever has announced that he will step down as Tomkins FD as of today.

In a statement the global engineering group said: 'The board of Tomkins announces today that Kenneth Lever is to step down as FD as at the end of the Group's third quarter, today, 1 October, 2007.'

Lever, who has served as FD since November 1999, has agreed to stay on to ensure an orderly transition of responsibilities until 31 October 2007.

John Zimmerman, who has been the Group's VP of corporate development since 1999, will become CFO and joins the Board as from today, 1October, 2007.

Chairman David Newlands said: 'I am very grateful to Ken for making such a
major contribution to Tomkins over a long period. On behalf of the Board, I
would like to extend him every good wish for the future.I have worked with John for a number of years and wish him every success in his new role.'

Tomkins will announce its third quarter results on 7 November, 2007.
