The University of Bradford has chosen COA Solutions to provide a new financial management system, implementing budgeting, planning, electronic procurement and business intelligence tools.
The go live date for the system is August 2010, and supports the university "Ecoversity" environmental strategy.
"Our current financial management system is outdated, manually-intensive and can only be used by people within the finance department," said the university's e-strategy project manager Russell Allen.
"We were impressed by COA Solutions’ environment credentials, its success in the education sector and the company’s ability to closely understand our requirements. The system’s advanced functionality and ease of use also meets all our needs."
University financial project manager Angela Fletcher said the new system would improve efficiency, through instant access to imaged purchase invoices, and ensure tighter control over costs. It will also reduce the paper usage at the university.
The BI toolset is provided by Business Objects.
