Deloitte man joins Wembley

Eric Tracey, the Deloitte partner who joined troubled construction firm Amey as interim FD, has taken on the role of FD again - this time for gambling group Wembley.

Tracey has served as audit partner at Deloitte over the last 24 years, and in 2003 was seconded to Amey as acting finance director for nine months. During this period the company was sold and he was short-listed for the Accountancy Age FD of the Year Award.

Meanwhile, KPMG has been chosen by Wembley as auditor, following Ernst & Young’s resignation.

‘E&Y confirmed in their letter of resignation that there are no circumstances connected with their ceasing to hold office that they consider should to be brought to the attention of the shareholders or creditors of Wembley,’ the group said in its statement to the Stock Exchange.
